Cookie Policy

I use cookies to ensure the optimal functioning of my website and the best possible user experience. My website (like other websites) uses cookies to gather data of visitors. By using my website you accept that this site uses cookies in accordance with the policy below.
What is a cookie?
Cookies are small data packets, text files, which are placed on the user’s browser or device by a service provider or designated external service provider for personalized service when visiting a particular website or application. If the browser returns a previously saved cookie, during the current visit the service provider managing the cookie will be able to link the user’s saved data to previous visits, but only in the context of its own content. Cookies allow the site to recognize the visitor the next time they visit, thereby providing security and convenience, as well as improving the user experience while browsing the site.

Cookies differ in their functions or the duration of storage. Also there are cookies placed directly by the operator of a website, while others are placed by third parties via the website.

Cookies on a website may differ by function; there are essential cookies, statistical (analytical) cookies and advertising (functional) cookies. As for the duration of storage, there are two categories: session cookies are deleted as soon as the visitor closes the browser, while permanent cookies are saved by the visitor’s device or browser until they expire or are deleted by the visitor.

What types of cookies do I use on my website, and for what purpose?
Essential cookies (to ensure the functionality of the site)

These cookies support the problem-free running of websites, and make the use of the sites easier. Without these cookies the comfortable use of the sites would be more difficult or even impossible. Cookies which perform essential functions will gather information about the use of the site without identifying visitors.

Some essential cookies are deleted as soon as the visitor closes the browser (session cookies), while others are saved by the visitor’s device or browser until they expire or are deleted by the visitor (permanent cookies).

Essential cookies are placed on the devices of users automatically while browsing, and they can be deleted by choosing the appropriate options in the browser settings (see below).

Statistical cookies

These cookies are related to the performance and development of the website, and the improvement of user experience. They allow the operator of the website to collect data on the ways visitors use the website.

These cookies do not identify visitors either; the information they collect  will reveal which part of the site a visitor clicked on, how many websites or pages were visited, how long each session lasted, and what error messages were received.

For statistical purposes, we also distinguish between permanent and session cookies based on how long they are stored on the visitor’s browser or device.

Statistical cookies are placed on the devices of users automatically while browsing, and they can be deleted by choosing the appropriate options in the browser settings (see below).

Advertising cookies

The purpose of these cookies is to display ads on the websites which are relevant to a given visitor’s interests. The cookies cannot identify the visitor; they collect information such as the pages the visitor has viewed, the pages they have clicked on, the number of pages they have visited, in order to display contents that may be of interest.

Visitors can choose to opt out of advertising cookies by selecting the appropriate options in the browser settings (see below).

Social media cookies

The purpose of these cookies is to provide social media services used on the websites to visitors, for example, when the visitor shares content from the website on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or other social media-related interface, or when linking their account to social media content, or content provided by the social media service provider through plug-ins. Social media providers may use cookies to collect information about the visitors’ use of the services provided by the social media service provider, and the content they share; all of this in order to display content that is of interest to the visitor.
